Terms & Conditions

COURSE TUITION
Full payment of course tuition fee is due fourteen days prior to the start of the course. A student is required to place a 25% deposit of base course fee to hold his or her seat. The course tuition fee includes instruction, course materials, use of software as indicated by the course description, and other technical hardware as appropriate to the course. For credit card users, charges will be in the currency of the country where the class takes place and will be converted by your credit card company; The PM Instructors is not responsible for fluctuations due to exchange rates. Please note that registration terms and conditions are subject to change without notice. The PM Instructors provides light refreshments during morning and afternoon breaks for onsite courses. The course tuition fee does not include hotel accommodations, meals, travel or any other expenses that may be incurred by our student. 

SUBSTITUTIONS PERMITTED
We welcome the enrollment of a qualified substitute in an enrollee’s place, provided the student notifies us in writing seven business days prior to the start of the course for online courses, and one business day prior to the start of onsite courses. However, the substitute may not take advantage of any discount programs unless he or she is qualifies under the program guidelines.

TRANSFER/CANCELLATION
We do not impose any penalty for transfers to another course as long as we are notified in writing or by phone at least seven days business days prior to the start of the course.
If a student transfers to another course at least seven days business days prior to the start of the course originally enrolled, 100% of any prepaid course tuition fees will be applied toward the course tuition fees for the subsequent course.The subsequent course must be taken within a one-year window of the original course start date.

If the students registration fee was based on a 'Group' discounted rate, and the same discount is not offered or available for the class being transfered to, the student is responsible for paying the difference.

Terms for On-Site Courses (Not hosted at SME Technical Training) The PM Instructors will make every effort possible to provide the course within the same geographical area, but all scheduled classes are subject to change and may be cancelled at any time. If you cannot attend our scheduled instructor led classes or we cannot provide one for you within 1 year, your transfer will be converted into a self-paced virtual class. If a student cancels a course more than 20 business days before the scheduled start date of the course, the student will receive a 100% refund of course fee. If a cancellation is requested less than 20 business days before the course start date, the student will be charged 50% of the course fee. If a cancellation is requested less than 10 business days before the course start date, the student will be charged 75% of the course fee. If a cancellation is requested less than 7 business days before the course start date, the student will be charged 100% of the course fee. Unused credits expire 12 months after their date of issuance. At no time is the student entitled to the course material as a result of having to pay the cancellation fee.

Terms for All Other Courses The PM Instructors will make every effort possible to provide the course within the same geographical area, but all scheduled classes are subject to change and may be cancelled at any time. If you cannot attend our scheduled instructor led classes or we cannot provide one for you within 1 year, your transfer will be converted into a self-paced virtual class. If a student cancels a course more than 14 business days before the scheduled start date of the course, the student will receive a 100% refund of course fee. If a cancellation is requested less than 14 business days before the course start date, the student will be charged 50% of the course fee. If a cancellation is requested less than 7 business days before the course start date, the student will be charged 75% of the course fee. If a cancellation is requested less than 5 business days before the course start date, the student will be charged 100% of the course fee. Unused credits expire 12 months after their date of issuance. At no time is the student entitled to the course material as a result of having to pay the cancellation fee.

NO SHOWS
Failure to provide written or telephone notification to The PM Instructors of an enrollment cancellation or transfer at least seven days business days prior to the start of the course will result in forfeiture of the full regular course fee.

MATERIALS FEE
Our Materials Fee is included in our overall course tuition pricing. In the event that a student is shipped a set of course materials and subsequently cancels their enrollment and fails to reschedule for a future date, they will be responsible for returning those course materials to The PM Instructors in their original unopened condition. If a student returns the course materials in the appropriate condition within 30 days of cancelling their course, there will be no materials fee charged other than original cost of shipping. Beyond 30 days, the student will be invoiced a $500 materials fee by The PM Instructors for unreturned course materials. 

COURSE POSTPONEMENTS
At times, we must change a course location, course date, or postpone a course. We will try to give the student as much advance notice as possible of any such change. If the student is unable to attend a course at the revised location or date, we will credit 100% of any prepaid course tuition fees paid against a future course or, if requested, refund those fees. However, we will not be liable for any other costs incurred, including (for example) travel charges or any consequential damages even if we were advised of them.

COPYRIGHT/INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All copyrights, patents, designs and other intellectual property rights in or relating to any course materials provided or made available in connection with our courses remain the sole property of The PM Instructors. No part of any course materials may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, or translated into any language, without the prior written permission of The PM Instructors. 

TRAVEL DISCOUNT
To receive the full current Travel Discount reimbursement amount a student must attend and complete the registered course at the SME Technical Training facility located at 6650 Flanders Dr. Suite G. San Diego, CA 92121, and 1) provide a valid ID, 2) proof of current address, 3) copies of their hotel and 4) airfare expenses incurred to attend the class. If a student only requires airfare or hotel accommodations to attend the class, they are only eligible to receive half of the Travel Discount reimbursement amount.

The Travel Discount reimbursement amount is subject to change at any time without notice. The full amount the student is eligible for will be determined by the current advertised reimbursement amount at time of the registration purchase.

By providing this discount The PM Instructors assumes no responsibility for any expenses incurred to attend one of our classes. This offer can not be combined with any other specials, promotions, discounts or refunds.

GENERAL
These terms and conditions set out above represent a complete statement of the agreement between the parties and supersede all prior discussions, correspondence and representations. Our brochures and advertisements are for information purposes only and are not intended to form any agreement between The PM Instructors and the recipient. These terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, and changes will apply to any enrollment/course order received after the date of the change. These terms and conditions may not be varied except in a written agreement signed by an officer of The PM Instructors. This agreement will be governed by California state law, without regard to any conflicts of law.
